Since 2010 when Tom & Drew has burst into the scene of boys’ fashion with its signature mix of boys’ spirit and impeccable taste, it never failed to surprise us with fresh takes on classic preppy style. The fabulous Spring/Summer 2013 Collection is no exception. Inspired by timeless elegance of vintage Americana and glorious exploits of famous travelers, real and fictional, Call of the High Seas Spring/Summer 2013 collection is a breath of a salty sea air.

Fascinating adventurers of Odysseus, Captain Cook, Gulliver, Christopher Columbus and Captain Nemo, whose big dreams led them into unchartered territories and inspired, influenced and shaped generations of boys, fueled the imagination of Alexia Panza and filled the sails of Tom & Drew schooner. All aboard! Style adventure awaits!

Tom & Drew’s traditional luxurious fabrics: buttery soft pima cotton, airy linen, vibrant Madras and lustrous silk have been joined by hip newcomers – featherlight Japanese Kurabo denim in Indigo wash and yarn dyed denim in bright green and caramel. Classic seersucker, one of the brand’s favorite fabrics gets a hip twist lending its softness to brilliant gingham pants. Primary color palette inspired by vintage Americana bursts with vivid reds, sunshine yellows, lively greens and deep blues. Noble, calm neutrals and brilliant plaids, checks and ginghams add depth and richness. Classic Americana – crisp trio of navy, red and white takes a central stage in Tom & Drew’s Pièce de résistance short suits (Eton suits) collection that welcomed pinstripe gem in navy blue and white this season.

Tailored vests with soft shawl collars offer less structured dressy option to rambunctious young gentlemen especially when paired with yarn dyed stripe tuxedo shirts echoing spectacular uniforms of royal naval officers. Contrast cuffs of elegant Oxford shirts, striped collars of classic pique polos, double stripes trimming hems of shorts and sleeves, wide navy trim framing blazer’s lapels and collar, gleaming buttons of silk blazers recall richly embroidered and decorated with insignia frock coats of famous captains.

Famous for its meticulous attention to details and devotion to impeccable style T&D had expanded its accessories collection offering leather trimmed aviator sunglasses, reminiscent of the trailblazing pilots’ goggles, wingtip Oxford shoes with contrast soles and slippers designed and handmade in Italy by Del Toro, luxury lifestyle brand revered for fusing American prep with Italian effortlessness. Speaking of fun… Childhood fun and bulldogs are never in short supply when it comes to Tom & Drew’s collections. Sprinkled over the boxer briefs (sold in sets of 3), topped with golden crowns, spotting silver foil printed sunglasses, staring from the toggle raincoat; T&D’s adorable bulldogs are ready for their summer adventures. Socks in fun prints complete the look.

And finally, following numerous requests of Tom & Drew fans, the long awaited TDb makes a grand entry this season. Select styles such as shorts & vests, blazer & shorts combos scaled down to infant (starting at 12 months) sizes make dress up occasions for the tiniest gentlemen a breeze.
